The car is driving well. Unfortunately the cel is on and I guess it is because of a (previous) bad cps sensor!
If the CEL came on due to the bad CPS a good scanner will allow you to cancel the code. I will clarify what I mean by a good scanner. Since I have two 95's I found out something interesting. One '95 has a early production date for a '95 which is 6/94 and one has a late production date 5/95. My $100.00 Harbor Freight scanner will communicate with the late production date XJS but not with the early one. My friend has a more expensive scanner and it will communicate with the early production date XJS.

So my read on this is the late production date '95 XJS' are OB2 compliant since the '96 XJS started production in I think around May or June of 1995. So if you have a lower priced scanner and it does not communicate with your '95 it may be for this reason and you will want to hook up a more expensive scanner and hopefully it will be able to communicate with your car and allow you to cancel the CEL.

Just FYI, i have a early 95 with a 94 production date too, and I have a Bosch reader I got at Autozone that works really well.
