OEM Style Carpet Mats

I spent a lot of time confirming measurements with them. They were wonderful to deal with.
If you have a 96, I'm sure they kept the dimensions and such. If you have a different year, then they either know it. or will work with you to ensure that the dimensions will match what you send them.

Rick,
The XJS was a bit unusual insofar that it didn't have a single fitted carpet as you will know. The footwell carpets are removable, held in place on the floor with a cutout for the accelerator stop and a plastic retaining strip underneath that clips behind the metal strip on the floorpan in front of the seat.
So, when people talk about "carpet mats", sometimes they mean these footwell carpets, and sometimes they mean mats that fit on top of the footwell carpets. To make it more confusing, sometimes these overmats are exactly the same shape as the footwell carpets.
Hope that makes sense.

I used GB Classic Trim. I worked with Graham and he ended up making up exact replicas of the 1996 mats, including the Jaguar heel pad and the plastic channel that secures it to the metal panel underneath the mats. Velcro sewn in where it's supposed to be too! Looks perfect.
I didn't get a chance to chime in before you placed your order with Lloyds, so I kept quiet. I figured you might have seen the post.
I didn't specify that I didn't wan't the heel pad on the mat under the overmat...but I am not complaining!

For summer, and limited annual mileage I wasn't so concerned with carpet only surface in footwell. Will see how they wear.

Mozanbique,
I am having a bit of trouble with the different carpet mat manufacturers matching the floor mats for my 1989 Jaguar XJS convertible most of the templates they have sent me don't match my floor mats. I want my mats to be approximately 1/2" smaller width than the footwells and underfloor mats to give me a 1/4" on each side so the carpet does not curl up the side walls and so you can see the detail of the edge binding and stitching. Your floor mats look to be similar same shape as mine. Do you happen to have the Lloyds purchase order number and dimensions of your mats to give to Lloyds to make my floor mats?

Hi Patrick
While both of our mats look similar, the mats for my 96' will fit years 94-96 as I read it. The mats for the 89-93 are apparently slightly different. So any measurements of mine will likely not help you.
I ordered my mats (set of 4) from Lloyd's using their on-line form from their website. To be honest, I have not yet tried my mats out in the car yet. But plan on doing so this weekend. I too hope they are not too snug. I'll report back this weekend. I ordered the Luxe mats with different colored binding. The mats are top quality. Lets hope they fit.

Our Jags are getting old now (like me LOL). Going to be difficult to get an exact color match for mats. But a nice contrast can also look good in these cars.
