Opinions on 1992 xjs
Hey guys. I have found a beautiful 92 xjs with 68,000 miles. Can anyone help me about what to check for on this car? He says it needs nothing??? I think he's High wanting 10k. It does have wire wheels and seems to be really nice. What u guys think, what's fair? What should I be looking for? This will be my first jag and want to be smart about it. I'm open to all jags, this one really grabbed my attention!

Go the the "FAQ Quick link" at the top of this section and read the buyer's guide then post back if you need specifics.
A used Jag that "needs nothing" would be a very rare thing!
Hint: Assuming this is a V12, ask the seller when the fuel injector hoses were last replaced. Or the Marelli cap and rotor. A savvy Jag guy will have an answer. If you get a blank stare...well....
Cheers

Advice from a novice: Have the '92 inspected by a good mechanic familiar with these cars if you can.
I looked at a '92 V12 that looked great and ran a little rough. Owner said it just needed a tune up. Inspection revealed it was only firing on 10 cylinders, had a leaking head gasket, main rear seal oil leak, and other items that would have cost over 10K to have corrected.
