Is it possible to switch radio from US to EU settings?
Hi
I just bought my first XJS (94 V12) from USA and it has finally arrived to Europe. It needs some attention but should be on the road soon I hope.
I wanted to ask regarding radio. It has newer version of radio and I think it is LHE4100BA. At least it looks like the one below. As US radios play only radios that end with uneven numbers I was wondering is it somehow possible in radio settings easily (without removing radio) to change the settings so that it will play all frequencies?

My car has the European radio and seems to work well in the US. Have you tried it out there ?
Even the newly offered modern radios for the XJS from Jaguar are ROW or US versions....
I did change out the alarm unit to a US 318 Mhz unit from the original UK 418 Mhz, hoping that would increase the remote range. It didnt...

My XJS is also from the US and I had to live with the 0.2 frequency changes for a while. I was not really happy with it, also because the US radios do not have traffic news like the European ones. There is no way to change this in a US radio, at least I did not come across a way of doing it (and I searched a lot). Finally I managed to get a used European radio which is quite rare. Thus, you have three options:
1) live with the US radio
2) wait for a used one and when you see it buy it (assuming the price is reasonable)
3) get a non-Jag radio (which is also difficult if you need one that can cope with the CD-changer).
Best regards
Andreas

Thank you all for responses. It seems like there is no easy switch from US to EU. I think the cheapest and maybe easiest way to play EU radio channels will be using smartphone radio app and then connect this via Bluetooth to FM transmitter (that is in the cigarette lighter) that broadcasts US FM frequency that car radio receives and plays through speakers. This gives you also handsfree to your old Jaguar and you can play all media sources you have in the phone
