Power Lock Door Actuator Clicking Problem

Power Lock Door Actuator Clicking Problem
I was solving a problem with a loose passengers side door handle and I seemed to have created another one.
When I lock and unlock the door, the actuator clicks a number of times, after locking or unlocking the door. It works fine, it just does this:
All I did to solve the problem was tighten the upper rod so the door release handle on the inside of the passengers side door snapped back into place.
I also made a new door clip holding those rods to the door which can be found in another thread. (BEC9538 replacement)
Can anyone help me figure what I did to create this problem?
Thanks.

Never mind. Whatever was causing it yesterday, it is no longer doing it today. It must have cleared itself out after being off for a while.

Strangely enough, it's now back.
It wasn't doing it after a drive. I went to go get something out of my car after it's been parked for a few hours and it's clicking again.

Is that piece with the rubber bellows the actual solenoid that actuates the lock? In any case, the door lock solenoid seems to be the trouble, it seems to be actuating then continually re-actuating instead of doing it just once. Yours is a later model, but is there some adjustment on the positioning of the solenoid itself, as there is on earlier cars?
If so, try moving the solenoid one way or the other and see if that makes any difference. If you can demount it, yet still have it electrically connected, see if it does it when out of the door. it could be as simple as the plug needing cleaning, or even a contact needing cleaning if you can get into the thing.
Of course, if it is some sort of electronic device that has gone wrong, this will not help...

I've replaced that entire assembly with a different one, with no luck. That part cannot be opened, so there's nothing that seems to be adjustable.
I replaced the smashed connector entirely, pins and all, so it's not there either.
I've just ordered another DAC4862, door lock control unit. I'm hoping that'll be the fix...
