Hi guys I have an early XJ-S 1977 2W2693BW which had a paint job prior to my ownership, the nice fella that did the prep work removed both the main info tag from the engine bay and the body tag from under the rear bumper I guess to not get paint on them, thanks. Trouble is he forgot to put them back on.

I am in the process of restoring the car and I’d like at least to put an info tag back In The engine bay. The only number I’m missing is the body number. Is there a resource I can look into to find the body number?

Sure, just contact Jaguar Heritage and order a heritage build certificate for the car which will give uou all that info.

Thanks Paul from what I understand they will only print what you supply them, if it matches there records for fraud reasons. But I will contact them and see what they can do.
