Default Quick question

on an 89 does the ignition need to be on for the horn to work?

Yes.The horns themselves are fed from always live power, but the relay to power them runs on ignition power to the horn switch.

Interesting. If so, I wonder why they changed to always live in 95, or maybe facelift. My 95 diagram shows it's hot all the time.
