Default Radio Antenna

Anyone know where I could source a working radio antenna for my 1995 XJ-S cab? My original was replaced by an ugly black plastic capped antenna that also doesn't work!

Just to clarify, you don't an "1995 XJ-S Cab", you have an "1995 XJS Convertible". An XJ-S Cabriolet is a completely different earlier car.

The aerial originally fitted to your car was made by Hirschmann, Jaguar part number is LHB4120AA. If you have a rear spoiler fitted from new, the part number is LHB4120BA.

Ebay is your friend!

Good luck

Paul

Thanks for the insight and help! Will check it out. Yes I had the rear spoiler, and it does seem to be a factory option. will see what I can find on the Ebay!

wow - Ebay is a tough hunt - any suggstions for a non-OEM simple, replacement telescoping antenna (but at least chrome so it matches) ?

The cars with the rear spoiler have a special setup so that the boot/trunk lid wont open with the antenna up. LHB4120BA. is a faster up/down antenna that will retract when the trunk lid opens to stop getting broken by the spoiler. SO really you need to find 1 of those as it will fit as a direct replacement and use the existing wiring plug. Look for a '95 '96 scrap car.
Second option is LHB4120AA will fit the wiring but i believe will not retract as fast.
The older antenna will have different plugs .....And will most probably you will forget that is up and open the lid.

I have a couple of NOS aftermarket power antennas that I never will use.
Of course the wiring connectors won't match but if you want one or two I'm your guy.
Make me any offer that has two digits and include another $20 for shipping.
Thanks,
Steve
