Default rear heated window/glass question

I have a 94 coupe.

The neighborhoods' kids were playing baseball and homerun-ed the rear heated glass.

Their parents offered to fix it with a "guy they know" who works on classics.

I've search for some parts online and I have not been able to find much... hopefully "their guy" has better luck than me.

Questions:

1) are all the windows/glasses the same for all years? or do they change a bit pre/post 92?

2) any suggestions where to find this part? local junk yards have nothing and online search only shows 2 options for pre 92 or convertibles.

Thanks

Generally it is easier to locate someone parting a car out than finding the particular item itself. Aside from going to junkyards, the best bet would be to locate someone on craigslist, ebay, or similar with a parts car. From there you need to send them a private message asking about glass specifically.

Don't forget we aren't all so fortunate to have a nearby Jaguar dealership. There is a significant difference in cars and parts between cities with Jag dealerships and everywhere else.

Idk where you live but the Atlanta market usually has a good amount of parts cars. Maybe search for a jaguar specific yard and inquire about the window?
When I used to live up there I frequented
English Swedish Spares in Alpharetta, GA is your go-to provider for English and Swedish spare parts.

The rear window in the facelift cars is NOT the same as in the pre-facelifts.

That's sort of correct about the facelift cars......except the facelift have the 2 seater, '91 ('92MY) same glass as earlier convertibles, to the '931/2 the 2+2 which has a smaller window.

I was writing about the coupé, which is what the guy's signature says he has. Sorry for the confusion.

Damm you are correct Greg. I should RTFQ.....

But the better news is that there should be a lot more of them available.
