Default Removing Stainless Steel wheel well

Has anyone removed the stainless steel wheel well covers on some XJS? It looks like it is screwed on. I'm concerned about rust but also how much it would cost to get the car to look like they were never installed.

thoughts?

is this on your car or one you are looking at?? If its yours take the wheels off and look at it to see how they are put on.

I effing hate these things.

I would assume either they wrap around the fender and have screws digging in or clamping on the inside of the wheel well OR they are glued on.
Obviously with the former just unscrew them. If they have adhesive I would try heating them up with a gun or hair dryer and seeing if they peel off, maybe even shoot some PB blaster on them to break up the adhesive hopefully.

they are gonna be like car bras, if not on long no harm not foul, but there is a possibility the paint is now darker there. Either way they will look better without those cheesey things on it.

Good luck those things are god awful ugly and anyone who puts them on doesn't deserve to own a jaguar.
