Sorry no I don’t, the replacement Elm Knob was described as correct fit replacement, having said that my workshop manual mentions metric measurements, if that is any help, probably not.

Default Thanks

I just replaced the steering wheel and shift knob on my ‘89 convertible with an elm wood set from myrtle. Contrary to other reports, the vendor was very responsive and communicative. I received the parts within 2 weeks of ordering.

Thanks to @Greg in France and @leo newbiggin for the step by instructions and hints. It was a quick and simple project.

I thought I would post a few pics to help anyone else considering this.

Horn pad detached by removing two small screws from the back. It’s easier to access the screws after telescoping the wheel out to its full extension

The plastic nut and brass rod that connects the horn circuit.

The two small conical collars that are compressed by the nut are shown here still engaged to the spline

The finished product

Well done Hedman looks great. You’re Elm looks more like Walnut.
I have now added to my car Elm from Murtle for radio and aircon facia and also the Instrument facia. Replacing the aircon and radio facia was a pain in the butt. Murtle were very good in supply even to down here in God Zone New Zealand.

petrol now at $2.50 a litre for 95 octane or 2.80 for 100 octane where you can get it. The Petticoat Govt (wife) trying to restrict my Jag trips to club outings only.
