replacing tail (brake) light

Hi, does anyone know how to replace the tail light on the XJS? I had someone bump into me whilst in a traffic jam and they cracked my driver's side tail light. I ordered a new tail light, however, I am having difficulty getting the chrome around the outside of the light back on the new tail light. Does anyone know how this can be done?

Thank you, I managed it albeit with an injury!
The long side with the brake light, that bit I put on first and then, I slide the end which covers the turn signal next with a great deal of force. I had to push it so hard I thought it was about to break and then I got my finger caught in the end (which was extremely painful). I'd recommend holding the chrome on the outside away from you as you push it on.
Chrome
Next when re-attaching the bottom 2 screws (there are two screws in the bottom and two on the top, which are concealed behind the rubber seal), I realised the clips needed to be attached. Since I nearly broke the lens putting the chrome on, I didn't take it off. I'd recommend putting the clips on first and then sliding the chrome on top of the lens.
Putting it back on the car
Next, when putting it back on the car, the rubber seal around the light seems to be attached to the frame with some kind of adhesive, so take care when taking the lens off and on. There are 4 nuts holding the lens on, 5/16 size (I used a shortened box wrench) to take the nuts off and put them back on.
Thanks for help and I hope this helps others.
