If the sealing on the outer edges isn't needed I bow to the experience - was just following the book - as I do .... I sure had no intention of using the same nasty open cell stuff that Jaguar did.
I haven't entirely figured out how I'm going to mount the shroud - I have it on the lounge carpet and the fan mounts are easy but the mounts that Revotec supply make no sense at all - I'm actually messing with this right now because if I need to do any fabrication then while the engine is out is the time to do, I also want to make sure stuff that gets drilled gets painted - sorry not trying to hijack thread Rescue119 - I can't recall how the original shroud was installed and am also in the process of figuring out the same things Rescue119 is although I have my fans and shroud, the memory is getting worse and my old shroud's offering no clues.
Edit : I think I've found out why this makes no sense - the top works kind of, the bottom I am clearly missing brackets - the bottom of my old shroud was pretty well rotted out, I also would appear to need some large rubber inserts/cushions for the large holes through which the bolts go.

I remember removing something from the crossmember before sanding and painting but they were not brackets any more bits of metal and a bolt. The bottom of my original fan shroud is no more Rescue119's is in really good condition by comparison, bottom of mine no longer exists, that picture of Rescue119s shroud in the Jeep did confirm that my brackets were the wrong way around. I did find brackets in the parts book (should have looked there I guess) but I won't be buying something I can make.

I think I may relocate the oil cooler at a later date. They have new o rings now and didn't show signs of leakage.
So the cooling hose kit I got from sng is great except the bottom rad hose is one piece and I have the coolant heater plug in. I tried to make the one piece work by cutting it in the right place but because the hose is the same OD as the metal piece that goes in the middle I can get it on. Tired heat and everything.
So just placed an order with sng with express shipping so I would expect it next week.
Dinner time. Only work a half day tomorrow so hopefully I can get the rest back together. Also ordered a 12" spal fan. So next week I'll go see a shop about making a shroud using same dimensions and mounting points as factor and cut out the mounting holes for the 2 fans.

dont forget to check the top small hose for the internal ' jiggle pin ' acting as a one way valve for helping to 'burp ' the coolant system from the top of the rad....
part 3 on the drawing gets pushed into the small hose from the filler cap to the radiator bleeding pipe,
BB

Looks like they are unavailable no more.
If I can't find it solution?
Maybe something from a fish pet store?

Nobody knows what that thing is for Rescue. Just get rid of it, if it is there, and all will be well. But do make sure that the small steel pipe/spigot fixed into the spout top section is not blocked.

Ya its clear unless a spider made a home in it lol

lol,
dont know what it does, no matter, throw it away , love it....
it actually only allows coolant to flow in one direction while the jiggle pin allows air to bleed past until the coolant reaches it when it automatically closes, just as the jiggle pin in the coolant thermostats do on the engine. thus allowing the correct bleeding of air from the system.
either way , use it dont use it, as long as you are aware that Jaguar fitted one for a reason (understood or not)
after that, your choice

Since I'm waiting for the lower rad hoses, e fans, and to get a shroud built I thinking about the trunk (boot)
I know everything works back there but it smells of fuel. I've read the fuel lines over time will cause this. It's not as bad as when I first got it but that's because I've ripped out all the old carpet and underlay.
I have a new fuel filter already to install but I figured I would replace all the fuel hoses I can get my hands on.
What size and type (psi) hose should I get?
Also the fuel sump pump? Can that be cleaned out some way?
Just don't want to turn it over after I rebuilt the fuel injection system without refreshing the fuel delivery system as well.
Also anything I'm missing back there. At least I know the fuel pump works
Fuel gauge has never worked on the dash but then again I've only been putting 5L at a time of fuel in it lol. Probably a bad ground but that will be part of the interior refresh at the end of this project.

My 16" fan should be in next week. SNG shipped my lower 2 piece rad hoses so would expect end of this week as I asked for DHL express shipping
I was gonna swap out my headlights for the 4 pot system and as I was starting to remove the wipers and surround from one to get them packed up I kinda realized they ar ein really great shape and the look has grown on me. I'll figure out another way to do cold air intake at a later date.
So I need to get the front bumper back on.
I want to suck in the bumper. I read about the 2 pistons and modifying them.
I found this link here describing what to do.

Or I might just leave them as I will be putting on a wide body kit later one anyways.
