Found it
Yep- found it. Thanks. Pulled the plug, checked it, and cleaned off the pins while in there. Will probably be very helpful to me later, No recessed pin on mine, but glad to know to look. Thanks again!

Re attached the fog lights to the front bumper this evening.

But they have never worked. Every other light works. Always have since either picked it up.

I read tonight there's a relay for it but it says the relay turns off the fog lights when high beams are activated. So if that relay is bad would that cause the fog lights not to come on at all? I'll check fuse for it tomorrow as well.

Also while I'm at it and have time waiting what would cause the powered radio antenna to draw power all the time? It's draws about 2.5a from the battery.

Good news we finally got a picture of our golden retriever we will be getting when we get to our new house out west

This is Ellie

The fog lights may be wired to only come on with the dipped headlights.

That's the top position on the switch right?

He means the fog lights will only come on if the high beams are not on. The bottom is off, 1 up is side lights, 2 up is head lights (where you move the turn signal stalk back and forth to switch from low beams (Greg refers to them as dipped) or high beams. 3 up is headlights + fog lights (as long as the low beams are on). 4 up is fog lights only.

So my new expansion tank showed up early today. I have baseball this evening but I should get it installed and top up the coolant I lost this evening.

Also can the front shocks be replaced without doing anything else easily? I have 2 new shocks that use had for awhile and was gonna wait for when I drop the whole front cradle but if I can put them in now easily I will

Front shocks are easy. Top bolt in the engine compartment. Might have to pull front wheels to get bottom bolts off

Also do I need to seal this grommet for the low level sensor in the expansion tank?

NO seal needed. Just push in the metal rod thingy with the male connector on it. As your photo.

Ok. So got the expansion tank in.

Pulled the Jag out and fired it up.

1500rpm. After a warmup period of a fee minutes still at 1400 rpm. I put the idle screw all the way in and as low as it would go is 1100rpm.

As the temp needle was at N i was waiting for my 16 e fan to kick on. It didnt kick in. The relay switch for it is wired to the left terminal (RHS) on the waterpump sensor.

My 12 inch fan comes on when I turn the environmental fans on inside the car so I used that.

After about 20 min of running checking for leaks etc the temp gauge in the car just dropped to bottom. Idk why...maybe the sensor on the RHS died.

Besides that it ran well, sounded ok, responded to throttle input ok and it's drivable so I can get it on a trailer to take it to my new house soon which is what I was trying to accomplish.

I'll pick at the above items in my spare time over the next week but once it's on the trailer it'll probably be a month or more before I have time to look again.

Any suggestions for the above. My main target will getting the 16 inch fan to come on.

I'll order a new temp gauge switch as well.

So I took the grey wire (which activates the 16 efan relay) off the temp sensor in the waterpump housing and wired it up to a switch I had laying around. Fan works great. Man she's loud lol.

So I guess that sensor is bad too?
maybe thats why my 12 inch fan comes on automatically as soon as i turn the dial in the car. The switch could be stuck in the open setting? The other terminal is connected to my 12 inch.

Anyway I ordered a new temp sender for the gauge and I'll order a new one for the waterpump as well.

At least I can turn the fans on manually.

Trunk is packed with spare parts lol

So I got the new temp sender today. Tested it before install. Removed old one (original). Put new one in. Tested old one. Same ohm reading as new one.

So now to try and figure out why the gauge reading dropped. It's probably bad grounds as my oil pressure gauge still doesn't work either yet the sender is new.

Either way at least I know the sender is new for the temp lol.

temp.i did replace the connector on the wire going to the sender as it did seem a little loose. Better safe then sorry.

what i could do is actually add the old sender (since it works) into one of the rhs water rail (remove on of the emission sensors I plugged) and use that for the 16" fab

But that's a new location job. Lol
