If you haven't already
While the fuel is low and below the sender port, maybe pull the sender and test it by hand. Clean it up, see what ya got. I don't know where the sender access hole is on yours but mine is a fair ways up the tank. Might be worth a look see before more fuel is added...?

Got the new temp switch today. Tested it on the bench. Worked. Could hear it turn on and off. Not gonna replace it til nee place though. 16" fan is hard wired so I can turn it on when I want.
I did get my new gauges in. need to find a wat to run a wire or 2 through the LHS (pax) of the firewall.
Any suggestions. With a pic

Well I did discover that the truck lock works so I guess that's a good thing lol.
I pick up the rental car hauler tomorrow morning. So gonna take my wife and kids around the block tomorrow then load the car onto the trailer where it will sit til at least August 4th when im expecting to show up at the new house.
Like I mentioned I got some cheap gauges and also a cheap 3 gauge pod and then I realized there is no place to put the guage pod as the dash is so small lol. I dont spend a lot of time inside the car.
I'll just leave it on the pass floor. It's just there for reference anyways. The 4th guage (fuel) will be in the truck as a temp reference as well.
Pics to come.

Got the jag on the trailer today after going around the block.
Still leaks oil buy I'll figure that out later.
The guages I installed worked great. Water temp seemed high though at idle (was very hot and humid out) but driving it did come down to about 240f which seems still high. Only had the 16" fan on.
Here's a pic of the gauges. Oil pressure seemed fine when running. At least I know I have oil pressure lol
I'll get one more pic up once I'm about to hit the road.
Cheers

3 days into my 6 day road trip to new home.
Jeeps towing well.
I've ordered some industrial floor covering so I don't wreck the floor of my new garage when I get there lol.
The higher weight is the trailer with the jag on it.
The trailer by itself is 2200lbs and I have about 200lbs worth of parts in the trunk. Minus 300lbs of tongue weight puts the jag right at the 4k lbs mark which is about 300lbs less reduction I've done by removing stuff.
Weights are fully loaded with gas and 4 pax and all our luggage

So Ive been very busy. Back to work plus getting the house organized. Its been crazy but finally starting to settle down.
I ordered my quickjack last week right form the manufacture so its coming from California. Should be here in a week or 2 I would think. Hopefully I can figure out the remaining 1 oil and 1 coolant leak once I get it up in the air.
My first welder came in as well. it does mig / gasless mig / tig and stick. ill stick to gasless mig first and practice on some scrap sheet metal first.
Im hoping to drop the front end before it gets cold out. Reminds me i need to order the engine holder bracket lol.
Do the front springs need to come out before I drop the whole front cradle or can i get them out afterwards?

Hey,
Still waiting for my quickjack setup to show up. Still getting organized and the garage. My welder and all accessories are ready to go now. should be fun once I get to learning. Ill have to take pics of my garage setup.
I had a moment last night so popped the hood. I noticed my 6A spark plug had oil in it. I mean I could see resting oil in the hole with the plug in. So maybe I didn't seat that enough. I play with it this weekend. I bought some dye (ac delco) to search for my oil leak plus a uv flash light.
Weather is starting to get cooler so ill get back into it sooner.

So found this in a barn. i went for the spoiler but he had the side skirts and rear portion.
The side skirts are in decent shape and can be salvaged I think
The rear has one corner broke off so not sure if I can salvage it.
The spoiler has a crack down the middle. Like its split. i should be able to salvage it as well.
Also finally got the rear piece for the truck lid (minus the jaguar logo) but all the lights/lens/wiring are there.
Thoughts on the twr stuff? Can I save it all? I'm not overly concerned on the rear part as I'm not doing the exhaust out the back.
I've never worked with fiber glass buy I'm sure with the help of youtube I can't at least repair the spoiler and side skirts.
Couple pics of my garage at the end as well. Still organizing though.

He pulled it off a xjs he broke down years ago and was sitting up in his rafters of the barn.
I have read that long ago there was a Canadian that made a body kit for the xjs. Maybe it was one of those.
Too bad Those molds are probably long gone. Having a north america made kit would be great
