My girl wears her original wheels and I love the color matched inserts. I have to say I think the starfish wheels are not very photogenic, but way better in the flesh. I think that the xjs is very particular with wheels, the body shape doesn't lend it self to huge open rims. I do like those pentas though.

So, here we go, Flint. It's going to be a fun thread.
BTW, this doesn't necessarily have to be about what wheels you have on your kitty, but it can also include either pictures of an XJS that you have seen with those special wheels, or even wheels that you photoshop to an XJS, explaining where those wheels come from, or who sells them, in case somebody gets convinced...
Anyway, so here I'll start with my own. They came from an early XK8 that the local Jag dealer had just sold and whose new owner had brought in his own wheels, so these Revolvers became instantly for sale including the P-zeros already installed on them. The only adjustment was 1/4" spacer on the front wheels; nothing on the rear wheels.
Cheers,

I'm curious as to where you sourced those spacers?
Thanks,
Bill

I bought my car with the same BBS rims pictured above however some MORON had spray painted the gold part black! (POORLY i might add) The 2nd day owning this girl I sourced a set of original Starfish alloys, a can of wax, and a kinder photo angle for my girl's tired paint LOL. I don't know, I'm a sucker for the factory look as the designers intended

First off WOW! what a fantastic looking Car! What Color is She?
Followed by WOW! and Double WOW! for those Amazing looking Wheels!
I was on the Lookout for a New Set of Lattice but having seen those Penta, I agree they really suit the Car, not to mention so much easier to keep clean.

Top = 17" Eagle Alloys (with very thick spacers)
Center = 16" wheels from a friends XJ6 (don't know what they're called)
Bottom = 15" Lattice
I purchased the car with the Eagles installed. I also have the original Lattice wheels and the 16" XJ6 wheels. Which one do you like?

Where can I get a Set of 15 inch Machined Lattice Alloys? or did you have them specially done?
How do you stop the Corrosion, if they are just bare alloy?

i swapped in a set of the asteroids. and they look great... if i do say so myself. i nearly went with the pentas, because the asteroids are fairly difficult to find not attached to an XJR.
i think the original 15 inch lattices looked great also, but the sourcing of tires, and the added handling benefit from shorter sidewall tires pushed me to find a larger diameter wheel. i even think 18 might be a bit much for the XJS, and wouldve preferred 17s, but i couldn't find anything i liked that had the right fitment for reasonable moneys.
(i'm also not one for using his xjs in the standard fashion)

So, whenever you see a place exhibiting a lot of nice wheels you can bet that they're going to carry spacers; it's a highly necessary support to wheels sales.

I also commend your approach, not affraid to enhance your kitty with what you, yourself, see fit. Good for you!

Now, those Borbet rims I believe they look really good, as well, and it would've been a tough call for me, myself. The Borbet is a sportier and more modern look, whereas the stock wheel looks the part so much on that XJS...time to flip a coin, but I would've probably gone with the Borbet's, only because I personally do not really give that much importance to everything having to be stock, maybe unless there isn't any other single non-stock item/part on the car for which I wouldn't want to break the 100% status, and which may be your case.

Well, I'm going to post a couple of galleries of various XJS cars that feature all kind of nice (some wild) looking rims. Unfortunately, I do not have any info on the origins of the wheels, but at least it provides ideas as to which designs are better suited for our cars. This first post is about "spoke" wheels.
So, here it goes:

for those of you out there who happen to be looking into plus sizing your wheels, and coming here for inspiration, i want to mention a couple of points.
ive seen many threads and images of xjs owners moving from their stock 15 or 16 inch wheels to an 18 inch wheel. many of these owners also move to a 30 or even 25 section width tire in order to maintain total tire/wheel diameter/circumference.
while providing even more significant rigidity in the handling characteristics of the wheels/tires, these short-short sidewall tires may detract from the aesthetic appearance you are looking to achieve.
in order to minimize this "wagon-wheel" look on my car, with a set of 18 inch wheels, i have gone with 235/45-18 tires. the overall diameter is 0.2 inches taller than the 235/60-15s originally on the car (26.3" vs 26.1") but i appreciate the extra rubber. and i have actually noticed my speedometer matches more closely with the police radar speed notifications with this new set.
these are quite aggressive with regard to rubbing on the fenders (a few millimeters on the rear, and definite rubbing on the inside of the fender at full travel) but you may want to test fit some options before deciding on a purchase.

forced air: thanks for all of the great pics.
i do want to point out that the jaguar pentas and asteroids are options for jaguar oem wheels from different models. i also looked quite hard at a set of xk8 impeller wheels. i have not seen these on an xjs yet, but i think they would look great. one drawback however being they were produced in staggered set ups.
