Default Roof edge trim removal

Am putting the chrome back together after dealing with rust around the windscreen and have spotted some more that I missed. To deal with it I need to remove the SS trim along the roof edge drainage channel, see photo below.

Anybody done this? How do you do it without damaging the trim piece?

So the way to do this is to pry out the bottom edge of the trim all the way along with a wide plastic trim tool as shown below. Don't try and free the trim completely as you go along. Pry the bottom edge out ALL the way along the length before trying to remove it. Then it pops off with no damage or distortion.

Use a piece of wood along the edge of the top of the door opening so you have something to lever against

This is why it had to come off. Same story both sides. Very annoyingly I only spotted this after it came back from the body shop after all the other work had been completed. Why didn't I investigate this before I took it there....
