Runs, but dies as soon as you start driving?

A lot of people say what a pain it is to work on these cars but I haven't really found that to be true. Yes, you need to move stuff sometimes, but even that stuff is easy to move. Then again, I've gone way deeper in a lot worse cars so my opinion may be skewed.
I'd pay $1000 IF the interior is in great shape, then immediately sell the bling wheels to some kid with a 20-year-old body-kitted Honda Civic for a set of stockers, or at least something that doesn't make people think my ambition in life is to be a rapper. Put that money into repairs and you'll be golden.

I wanna thank you guys for your help. The guy still has yet to write me back so I guess he thought I was asking too many questions and wasn't just going to come throw cash in his face to get the pretty car w/o checking it out. Anyways, I still have the urge to get a Jaguar at least once in my life. There's a guy coming today to check out my 300ZX Twin Turbo and may buy it, and one of the cars that's on my list to strongly check out, is an XJR. That way I'll at least have a sweet *** Jag, but one that's a little newer

...dun dun dun, and the plot thickens. The day I wrote the last message on here, he wrote me back actually. Apparently he doesn't get on that classifieds site too often. Since he listed the company that worked on it and diagnosed it, I wrote them on Facebook and FINALLY heard back from them. They were closing up when I called but I'm going to call them Monday morning and he said he could pull the work ticket for it since he remembers the car. Got the guy's name off his website so will call him Monday morning and see what he can find, and what he remembers about it. That way, I hear the problem straight from a mechanic at a shop that works on only European cars.
