Default Seat Diaphragm

So I finally started to replace the seat skins today. It was so nice outside, I decided to work outside. I started with the seat back. It went well.

I bought the skins from Lseat. The color looks good. We’ll see how long they last?

I had to stop at the seat bottom. I found that the rubber diaphragm is in bad shape. I ordered one.

I checked the passenger seat by feel. It seems in better shape, but if someone has a diaphragm that they never used, I might purchase it in advance. I only bought one for the driver side and I might regret that decision.

Anyways, here’s a pic of the new back. I had Lseat add the embossment, which looks identical. I also opted for the Diamond stitching which I don’t regret for one second.

If the leather deteriorates quickly, I will definitely ask the next person to make me a set with Diamond stitching too.

Yes. The customization offered really, to me, sets this as a bargain if the seat covers are as good as you have experienced. The leaper on the headrest is perfect, the color of the leather matches practically perfectly, the piping is close enough, and the addition of the diamond stitch makes this a home run.

Now to remove the passenger seat and see if the diaphragm down there is as bad as the drivers seat. The passengers seat doesn't get nearly as much use...

HOG RINGS and Tie Wraps and you are ready to go!!!!!!!!!

My back bladder was not originally working when I did my drivers seat. All I needed was some new hose from pump to bladder and it still work a year later.

By the way were you able to test out the blow off valve for the cruise control?

I'm ready with the hog rings. Way easier than using zip ties...however, zip ties are necessary to tie back some of the hoses and wires.

The back was the easy part....the bottoms were worse. I'll post some pics shortly. I dug into the passenger seat, since I can drive with passengers seat out of the car.

The passenger's diaphragm is in decent shape. I think I may leave it be. The foam needs to be repaired.

Dump valve was checked.
