I hate it when this happens. I was removing the fuel rail cover in my AJ16 car to inspect the condition of the FI wiring and to do my monthly engine wipe-down with a bit of degreaser to keep everything looking great, and I decided to spray heavily on the black plastic fuel rail cover while it was out and away from the engine- and I guess I used too much pressure with my hands:
Fortunately it’s a 31 dollar part delivered from England from my preferred source, JCP. The cheapest used part on eBay ends up being 28 with delivery, the part new from US sources is about 30, so it’s a no brainer for me to use Jaguar directly.
I am gluing the old part together to have until I get the new one delivered, but usually They use DHL and it’s here within a couple of days.
Tough luck, but luckily it's a part that Jaguar still have.
One of the reasons that you can get stuff so quickly from Jaguar is that one if their distribution centres is in the US, so there's a good chance that the part is already on your side of the water.

Paul;
Ever since I discovered JCP a few years back, almost everything I need for any of my cars comes from them because I figure Jaguar will be more inclined to continue supporting our cars if we give them our business, but I have never gotten anything from them that did not come directly from England.

My experience as well. I believe the JCP warehouse is in the UK and all stock comes from there. For regular dealer supplied parts, each country can ( within reason) choose which parts to carry, thus I have seen parts available in the USA and NLA in Canada and vice versa. If a part is available, it will almost always be in stock in the UK.
