Default Shocking!

I have been having some electrical issues with my 89 xjs (I know what a surprise). Somehow the fuse panel on the driver side (left on my car) shows signs of water damage. Wondering if that might be the source of many of my issues. Has anyone here ever tried to replace this fuse panel? Any thoughts on a replacement type of panel to use?

Lots of people have changed fuse boxes on the XJS, but the majority changed from the early glass style to the later plastic fuses.
Start by pulling the fuses and see if they have green crusting on them from corrosion. If so, get some Deoxit D5, and clean all of the fuse box contacts. If corrosion is on the crimps between the wires and the fuse box contacts, the only thing to do is to install a new fuse box, cut thee old contacts off the wires, and wire everything back in. Hopefully yours isn't too bad.
