friend of mine, 1986 XJS bought new, also bought a new one for his wife, matched pair.
still has both, but his HE overheated, and he decided that a 6.0L would be usefull.
he uses a larger flow exhaust NO cats, 4L80E automatic, 3.54 rear end.
AN Electromotive ECU, fuel and ignition, six coils in the Vee, crank trigger pulse.
a few mods to suspension, uses it for long distance driving, he was in Florida and his son was up in Colorado Aspen ski country,(lot of snow).
so he packs the car up and heads out where a storm was making.
he stopped by my Texas place,to show me new engine and stuff.
took it for a drive, really nice setup, lot of low end torque, kinda fades after 5000revs tho!
