Snow ball Effect/Can't turn alarm off
Hello Again,
While working on my A/C and radiator Aux fan problem, my battery went dead and I replaced it. I reconnected the NEG lead last, and when I did the alarm started and I cannot turn it off. I tried both FOBs with new batteries and the emergency Disarm Procedure in the Security System manual, no help. I've looked through the threads and found nothing that worked. Please let me know your ideas and experiences. The alarm sounds after @ 15 seconds after connecting the Neg lead.
Many thanks,
Jerry

Alarm silenced
Thought I would pass on how I was finally able to shut off the alarm. Truth is, I have no idea! Tried all your recommendations and used a combination of three processes and it quit. As you recall I replaced my completely dead battery with a new one, but when I attached the NEG lead the car went into full active alarm mode. So with everything closed and the alarm blaring, I used the key to continuously lock and unlock the driver's door, while doing this, I pressed and released the FOB button continuously. After @ 5 minutes, the alarm changed to a European siren sound, after a minute or so I quit what was doing sat in the driver's seat, turned the key to the "II" position, and back to off. The alarm stopped and has not been a problem since.
Strange Indeed,
Jerry
