Default Some cosmetic questions

I am thinking of buying an XJS, but I have some questions relating to cosmetics.

--Did US cars come with a leaper? Or a growler? Or none? I honestly don't like leapers on the XJS, but if they are from factory I suppose I could live with it.

--Has anyone ever installed this TWR front bumper (not the TWR package trim, but the one from the European Touring Car Champsionship? I wonder if you can buy this somewhere or if you have to fabricate it yourself. Or is the stock bumper/spoiler pretty similar?

--What types of steering wheels are common to install on these cars? I wouldn't mind something like this, but did anything like this ever come from factory?

None ever had a factory installed leaper. As far as I know ALL has a round growler

No wood wheel from the factory.

The '89 XJS steering wheel is popular. Nardi wood wheels are popular.

In the "Series I-II-III" section there's a recent thread on steering wheel that would be equally applicable here

Thanks, Doug. Does anybody make a TWR replica wheel? I'm not trying to make a TWR replica car, per se, but I think it would be fun to have some of these pieces especially if I am going to convert the transmission to a manual and get exhaust work done!

The front bumper is a standard UK spec pre-facelift HE one. Loads available from UK breakers.

TWR steering wheels come up on UK ebay quite frequently. There is one on there now, but they are expensive, this one being about 420 USD: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VERY-GOOD-...QAAOSw5dNWkN86
The woodrim wheel in your photo looks like a Motolita wheel, itself a classic racing design. As Doug said, not a factory fit ever, but they look very good on the car IMO...

I can look at those touring cars all day long. I grew up watching Aussie Grp C and then Grp A and those Jag were the bomb!
