Source for a starter?
Hi all.
Noob on this forum. I have done a search but have not found the specific info I'm looking for but please feel free to link me to a thread regarding my question if I've missed something here.
My father-in-law and I are trying to get a beautiful 1992 Jaguar XJS 4.0L back on the road. After a painstaking few days and some bloody knuckles, we've removed the starter and now are searching for a new one. Can anyone recommend a reliable online source (US or Canada) for a Bosch Starter - reman is okay as long as the solenoid has been replaced. Have had a look on ebay but not sure of quality? If anyone can point us toward a good source it would be much appreciated - it'll be winter up here before long and we've not driven it all summer!
Cheers.

I bought a new starter from Coventry West in Georgia 800-331-2193
As far as I know all 4.0s used the same starter....so you're not looking for anything unique.
I've also had great luck with a local starter/alternator rebuilder....much better than buying off-the-shelf rebuilts. I'm sure there's such a shop, probably several, in Toronto.
Cheers
