Speedometer angle drive behind dash

Speedometer angle drive behind dash
My speedometer has gone out on my '78 XJ-S; bouncing back-n-forth between keeping the stock instrument gauge assemble VS going with a customer aftermarket gauge panel.
Symptoms: Upon recently getting the car the speedometer was jumpy up to ~ 30 mph and then one day quit altogether driving home; I'm 99% it's the angle drive behind the dash. The angle drive at the transmission is fine and today I was able to reach up below & behind the dash to unscrew the mechanical cable to the angle drive behind the dash/gauge - gauge end of the cable rotates fine while driving.
I plan on pulling the instrument panel to replace the bulbs and contemplating picking up an angle drive in advance if I can to knock everything out relatively quickly at once.
An eBay query comes up with different model numbers - e.g. BG2413/60, BG2410/60 and BG2410/20 - maybe other?
Anyone know correct angel drive for behind the gauge for a Left-Hand drive 78 XJ-S?
Thanks, Steve

The original Jaguar number is C38925. You might Google that and see what happens
Also, I think Bernie Embden has a write-up about these drives on his web page

I don't get much Googling the part number he references; I use with and without dash after the 'C' - I did come across a BG2410/40 that was posted on an UK eBay site (assuming that would have been for a right-hand drive XJ-S.
I've seen where he first looked to modify for a perpendicular cable approach to omit the angle drive and then swapped over to a later electronic version which I was also contemplating; instead of going the stock electronic version I'm also contemplating going full aftermarket w/ a custom instrument panel - first choice to limit initial cash outflow is to see I can source another angle drive and thus focus on other projects for the time being.
Any thoughts on the differences the part numbers of BG2410/60 and BG2410/20?
Any speedometer repair folks anyone can recommend to repair the existing angle drive?
I'm presuming the problem is an internal gear where the teeth wear down? Yes? No? Other?
Thanks again for any input.
Best, Steve

I have exactly same issues and thought I just needed a new speedo cable. Now I'm better prepared...
