Starting the car first time from cold
#1
I need some advice.relating to starting the car first time from cold. Have to turn the starter on 2-3 times. Then it start slowly fron 100 rpm to 700-800. No fast idle. After it start all is correct. Start ok every time. Next morning cold same issue. Have an ide where to look at. The AAV valve replaced with a new one from Jaguar.
Thanks in advance

Once it starts, if you turn it off and try to start it again what happens? Does it do the same thing or does ut start right up?
My reasoning is that if it’s a fuel problem it should start fine the second time. Maybe it’s not holding the pressure when the car is off. If it is still hard to start the second time then I’d be inclined to think it’s an electrical problem, maybe the coolant temperature sensor.

I have the exact same issue on my 89. I have found if you turn the key on to the run position and push on the gas pedal twice, turn the car off and then try starting it, it will fire right up . I still can't get mine to get a warm up idle
Thanks in advance

Try this: next time the car is cold, turn the key to on, but don't try to start the car. Listen for the fuel pump to run, stop, then turn the key off. Do the above three or four times. Then try to start the car. If it fires and starts immediately, the pressure bled down. Either the fuel pressure regulator is leaking, or the check valve in the fuel pump is faulty.
