I'm in serious need of floor mats for my 1989 XJS coupe. I'm thinking about going with a set of wool floor mats from CoCo Mats but I feel like there has to be a better option. The wool mats just seem - boring. I've done CoCo mats for my MGB and a couple other projects and while they look cool, they aren't luxurious enough for the XJS. I've put the Sisal mats in another project but again - not luxury. The wool mats seem luxurious enough but again - they don't seem exciting.
I've spent a lot of time looking and the best I can come up with is a set of Lloyd's floor mats, but their only customization is just a small Union Jack flag.
Ideally I think I'd like something with the Leaper, or the Jaguar scripted out, but I can't seem to find anything at all like that.
Thanks to all for the suggestions. I reached out to Aldridge about what I wanted and they were able to do it for me. I asked them to provide samples of the mat and edging and they obliged:
I also reached out to CocoMats for a sample of their wool mat and they obliged too:
Price-wise, either option would have been the same +/- $25.
In the end, I went with the wool from CocoMats. It's appearance in person was much better than the pictures online and I was happy with the color. And while it won't have the custom embroidery like Aldridge would have done, my preference is for the loop style that CocoMats uses as opposed to the tufted style Aldridge uses.
