Default Tempted by the xk8 wheels, will they fit?

basically instead of getting new tires(well putting it off till maybe next year) get a set of wheels and tires. I like the xk8 wheels and they look pretty decent from a pic on google. Will they just bolt right up? I found a set of them for $250

I have those Revolver wheels on my XJS. All you need is a 1/4" spacer at the front wheels and no spacers at the rear wheels. The tires are the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06, size 235/50R-17. Tight fit at full turns, but no trouble.

Cheers

oh nice, Thank you. I know it's not to everyone's taste but I think they look pretty nice. Funny though I like the standard big ol balloon tires on the xjs

The best looking wheels for an XJS

Is that your car, Time Pilot? (window sticker?) Well, my kitty has the same wheels and this is the first time that I see another XJS with chrome Revolvers. I believe that these are the best looking wheels for the XJS, especially the chrome ones. They truly enhance the car's appearance, I believe more than they do the original first generation XK8. Again, my taste.

Yes, that's from the day I bought it. The dealer took it in and was going to send it to auction since it was not something they would normally put in their inventory, they were a Cadillac dealer. I was driving by and saw it, drove it and it had a few issues with the ABS and brakes that they agreed to fix so I bought it.

Are there specific spacers needed because of the jags hub size?

Good question, never crossed my mind. I had the tire shop take care of it, since they were the ones who sold me (and installed) the new Revolvers with new Pzeros from a local Jag dealer' XK8. With so many people upgrading wheels nowadays, for these guys, spacers are a daily routine and they tend to carry most of them in stock.

yeah ive been doing some research and I guess it just needs to be large enough to fit the center hub. It's a standard Chevy bolt pattern but bigger hub. I'll be picking the wheels up next week. 👍🏼

Well, I like them a lot! Too good of a deal to pass up. Mine were dry rotted so bad it was dangerous

Great wheels for the XJS, no doubt.
Although I do realize that it would get more expensive, chrome on these wheels will even double the impact that those wheels already make on the car. 944's and mine on earlier post above attest to this; somehow, because of the XJS cars' awesome and special looks, it appears that every cosmetic improvement tends to have double the effect on the XJS. Of course, this is a matter of taste and priorities. Also, there are some wheel types/car combo's where chrome does not necessarily look better, but the XJS is not one of those.

Cheers,

I just purchased a 5th 16" "Revolver" chrome wheel for a spare from a local place the sells used wheels and it was $375 for the one. I had to pick through a few to find a non-blemish though.
