Throttle bushing replacement
#1
#2
No need to disturb the throttle plate adjustment (although periodic checking of the adjustment and cleaning the throttle bores is a good idea).
Bushing replacement require (at least partial) disassembly of the bellcrank-type lankage at the rear of each inlet manifold. Not difficult.
The true OEM bushings are fairly soft and easy to press into place. Some aftermarket types are a hard nylon or plastic....I've never been able to install these without some trimming. A few months ago someone posted about sing commonly available door hinge pin bushings that drop right into place. Pretty slick!
This would be a good time to adjust/synchronize the throttle linkages.
Cheers
