Default throttle linkage bush?

so it seems im missing the bushings that go in the metal linkages where the throttle body rod rides and turns inside the metal bracket thats bolted to the manifold. theres quite a lot of play in the TB's and capstan before anything actually opens.

any ideas how i can rememdy this?

ill take pictures if needed, but im not at home right now.

Check over on the Jag-Lovers forum. There's exactly the same question right now with source and part numbers listed.

That's great I was going to make my own. For $2 each I couldn't buy the delrin rod for that

There are also metal bushings in those corner arms, I had to replace them. Still have one extra left.

You do not want to use Nylon. Delrin or Acetal is what you need to use.

I hope I'm talking about the same bushing, and I don't end up looking like an idiot. I went to O'Reilly's and got a replacement brass door hinge bushing assortment from their "Help" rack. There is a pair of bushings in the package that are a perfect fit and guaranteed not to wear out in my lifetime

Did you happen to note the stock number of the "Help" package?

No, I didn't but they shouldn't be hard to find. I think there are only one or two different packages of door hinge bushings offered. Look for the assortment with brass bushings with collars. They're the same size and shape as the original rubber pieces. Perfect fit, no alterations required. I'll try to post a picture later today.

You can see the brass bushing in the photos below. I tried to get a shot of the bushing collar on the forward edge, but it doesn't show very well. If you slide the bushings in from the front, they're captured by the linkage and bracket and can't fall out. Pretty slick.

These pictures really make my engine look dirty! It's not that bad in person

I just checked the catalogue. There are a lot of hinge bushings. What is the kit with 8 bushings, 2 of each size? Or were there only 2 in the package?
