timing an 88 v12
so looked through the process and my question how can one man turn the screw and watch the mark at the same time. Does it need two people or just a lot of up and down .By the way I had a dead vacuum advance unit in dizzy. Replaced it with a used one just want to time it to get it right.

Turn from under the car if you have the acces, which I "think" you can if the mouth is angled just right.
From above with 2 people is what I have done. One of the kids under the front, they are younger and more flexible, and take it slow.
A LARGE mirror under the engine front, is a way I did it in the early days.
Remember that timing plate under the front is on slotted holes, so fingers crossed its in the right place in the first place.
These might help you a tad.
