Default TPS check

I would like to check the output of my TPS (94 v12). I can only see one connector and it is on the rear of the unit. It is hard to get to, of course! Do I just pull the rubber cover back to get to the wires? I have looked around the forum and the Kirby book, and not found the connections or procedures.
Appreciate any help...Jimmy

The procedure is outlined at the bottom of page 295 and the top of page 296.
