Transmission Power Replay
Limp Home Mode issue
I have a 1994 XJS in "like new" condition. The original owner kept it out of bad weather... in short you could eat off the engine it is that clean. ( 90,000 miles in 25 years )
When the engine is cold, the transmission light will come on at titmes and the car will be in limp mode. Engine warms up, turn the engine off, start it again and the transmission light is out and the transmission is back to normal.
I know British cars very well so this issue seems to be electrical signal to the transmission SO can the transmission signal be turned off, disconnected so it does not go into limp mode. If I recall correctly the transmission is a GM item.
I believe the blue relays in the trunk are the ones which work the transmission "limp" signal but which one, or ones ??????????
Thanks
