Updating Radio

It appears that the AJ8700 radio in my XJS has died. I really like the simplicity of operation of the radio and to my old ears the sound is very adequate. I got to thinking that if I'm gonna replace it, maybe a radio out of a later model Jag would fit right in there and have a few more features. I really like the simple two knob type of operation. Is there a later model factory radio that sounds better, is cd capable etc, but, has the ease of operation I'm looking for.
I really dislike the new aftermarket radios with the multi function buttons. I don't want to go that route unless I have to or can find one that is very user friendly.

Hello Terry,
I was very much not wanting to get a stereo that looked out of place in my 95, but ultimately the NEED for Bluetooth to take calls safely and link to my I phone, the DESIRE for better sound, Satellite Radio, HD radio, USB and AUX ports outweighed the cosmetic issue. As far as I know there is no "factory" Jaguar single din unit that will do anything else than your stock unit did. Bu the time better things started coming along, double din screen systems with screens where being used and obviously that won't fit our cars.
If you really want an upgrade you will have to go aftermarket, otherwise you should be able to find a working OEM unit from someone here or Ebay

I have a JVC unit in my car that does all those new fangled things that I required but to my eye it looks horrendous. It does a flashing show that is distracting.
If I had the money and could live without bluetooth and iPod I'd go with the MacIntosh head unit that looks like it fits with the car (and has great sound I imagine).
