Default upgrade 1994 XJS radio

Does anyone recommend a particular stereo and speakers for a 1994 XJS convertible? What size speakers do you recommend? I am hoping to get a stereo that sounds better than the original Alpine and has CD capability as well as XM or at least bluetooth. Is there a conversion harness available? Can power antenna still operate?

Is it difficult to get the back speakers out? If you can share any tricks I would appreciate it.

I would think any standard Single DIN radio will fit.
Lot of them available with CD, Bluetooth and Serius XM.
I don't know if there is a conversion harness dongle for the 94.
On my 94 I actually machined a plug to connect a Clarion head that was provided but not connected.
It took me forever to find an accurate wiring diagram and to figure out everything.
The original 6" round speakers that come with the car are actually fairly good.

Your 94 won't be any different than my 96.

Search my posts for my recommendations on speakers.

As for head units, if you want something easy, get something that doesn't play CDs. It will be much more shallow, making it easier to install.

The OEM speakers will probably disintegrate when you touch the foam parts....its definitely time for a change.

You should be able to find a Jaguar to ISO wiring plug adapter for £5 on eBay to keep your original wiring plug intact
