Steve , we have to remember that the jag 5.3 V12 was designed to be a Smooth ,fast , highway cruiser , for sustained speed for a long time, never designed to be a hard acceleration machine,USA style!
some of the reasoning was in F1 racing Ferrari found the drivers were more relaxed after a long 24 hr. race compared to V8s, V6, and they even tried some 4 cylinder engines that produced some driver energy absorbing VIBRATIONS!
a 60* V12 engine is actually smoother than V16s.
plus some other design features , and most important, at that time period , 12 cylinders was a magic number to talk about!
and so true nobody really needs 12 cylinders , no matter what they say, its all about Ego satisfcation at least for me.
i like your boat sounds great, probably can pass most anything BUT the fuel dock,,HE-he LOL.
