There is a line going to the fpr, the port i was looking at was below the port supplying the fpr. I just put a rubber cap on it so it wasnt a leak.

I haven't tried plugging the hose going to the aav, but I will do that tomorrow just to see what happens.

I know the spec is .002, but when I set it to .002 the car wont start. I spent a little time this afternoon opening up both sides in tiny increments until I found a setting that the car would start and that ended up being .004. I read somewhere that the earlier cars were set to .004, dont remember where i saw that, but it was interesting that is where I ended up.

If you need to open up the butterflies to allow the car to start, at what point does the high idle cut in?

Im not sure where they were set when it was idling at 1500. When it was idling that high I didn't measure what it was set at, just stuck the .002 gauge in there and saw that it wasnt right and reset it to .002. Then later opened a little at a time until the car would start. I think for the moment the original high idle problem is solved, now its just a matter of tinkering with things until everything is where it should be.

At .002", the AAV should be adjusted further open to allow the car to start. Try that before you leave them at .004". Something else isn't right if it takes .004" to start the car.
