Default Vacuum pipe

Hi guys.
Can anyone shed some light on this vacuum pipe running from the RH inlet manifold along the bulkhead through a valve? and disappearing Ito the LH footwell. I sucked on the hose and no vacuum is held. I don’t know if this is correct or not.
Rob.

That looks to me like the vac source for the aircon actuators. That plastic thingy is a non return valve.

That is the Vac supply to the A/C unit.

Under dash looking and swearing is in your future.

The 1st area is a solenoid valve, just forward of the LH footwell vent, That hose (the end of this one from memory), falls off easily. After that, lots of vac lines.

Most of mine dropped that system Vac within seconds of the engine stopping. Never bothered me or the car, so sleeping dogs were left sleeping. The system worked just fine as long as the engine was running.

Hello me old fruits.
Juts found this in my parts book but thanks for confirming. Cant say I have noticed any problems with the car running etc. Will just go and see if I can blow through the one way valve. I guess if I can a new one is needed.
