Walnut Veneer Maintenance & Care

Walnut Veneer Maintenance & Care
Well, I completed the install of the replacement dash veneers on my car and I could not be more pleased. The pieces I received were a more than adequate match for the existing slope and door panels. What an improvement!
I'm looking for advice on how to keep the dash looking as good as it does now. It is very dry in Colorado and I want to avoid the cracking that occurred in the originals.
Due to the final coating, does a wood conditioner even reach the wood, or is it simply smeared on the surface. If the answer is the latter, what is the appropriate protectant?
303 aerospace and a good window visor perhaps?
Look forward to hearing what has worked for you!

Apologies. I re-read my post and I realize it is a bit mis-leading. I did not have existing pieces re-veneered, I purchased an existing set pulled from another '93 being parted out in Britain. Whoever previously owned the car apparently took exceptional care of the interior given the condition of the pieces. My concern is having the wood/veneer/finish crack as a result of being transferred from a humid to arid environment. I pondered treating the back side of the pieces prior to install, but then I feared drying as the treatment dried.
Thanks for the responses!

Interiors survive much better in the British climate, Leather and wood will last 2x as long as many areas in the US. Just keep a nice coat of Carnuba wax on it.
