1977 Jaguar XJ-S 5.3 V12 PreHE. Coupe. Automatic.
I sent off the engine block for overhaul. They tell me they need "hátsó csapágyház tömítés" literally translates as rear bearing case seal. I don't know what it is, I thought it meant rear main seal but no. See photo attached. What are these and where can I get them?

The rebuilder helpfully sent me more photos where this part belongs.

It seals the oil from the crankcase. You can use silicone sealer, such as Permatex, instead. Just squeeze it up the hole and make sure it fills completely. Jaguar still sell them as part of a kit.

They are called Hockey sticks. Watch the video below, starting about 6:00, and he explains how to replace them with RTV.
