That's a bit of a waste - give it time and it probably will do it by herself. (Just kidding).

My thing for the day - fabricating up a support for my boot/trunk strut installation - so she doesn't hit me in the head again

Cheers
Steve,

Yesterday I drove my XJS to pick up Chinese food. On the way home, and all of a sudden like, my front left wheel started making a horrible scraping grinding noise! I figured it was something to do with the brakes, because when I used them the sound quieted. I pulled over and looked by didn't see anything. It was only about a half mile from the house so I drove it slowly having had the brakes go out on me in it before. I parked it figuring that I'd look into it today. Long story short, when I pulled the wheel and looked around I found that a small pebble had wedged itself between the rotor and dust shield! Amazing how something so small can bring thoughts of frustration and fear of no brakes into the mind!

Default Curse and clean

After a couple of months without starting her, I couldn't unlock the drivers door. Simple I thought, give the battery a charge, central locking will work again. Nope. Drivers door wouldn't unlock by key either. Lots of cursing later, unlock passenger door with the key, unlock drivers door from inside. Get in drivers side, she started just fine.

So moved her back gave her a clean. Then relocked her via central lockinglockiew the hands in the air and went and had a beer.

A problem to solve another day.

Those mirrors look great, add a modern twist!
What are they from?
But most likely not suit my older XJS!
The glass is falling out of my mirror and needs repair.

My new (to me) 94 6.0 vert is now undergoing a thorough 60k mile service and is getting new rear shocks and some hoses (as necessary). In addition some electrical switches are being updated (replaced). It will probably be ready for me late next week which works well as I will be out of the city until 10/1. Can't wait to get my hands on her.

Bought intake & camcover gasket sets, and aluminum half moon seals along with new o2 sensors.

As it turns out the plugs came in pairs so I have an extra set if anyone is interested, price is at cost.

Moved it from the far side of the house on the trailer into the garage. Im getting old and that was enough for one day- especially after a full day of work at an actual job. I plan on initial fact finding tinkering tomorrow. We just got it last week and I have barely looked at it.

Aired up the tires to something approaching the desired pressure. I swear it looked sad and forlorn prior to that.

Due to my Jaguar budget being wiped out by other events this past summer I haven't been able to do much.

However, first priority is repairing the driver's door external handle. Kind of a pain having to reach across from the passenger seat to open the door.

Checked the oil since it has a valve cover leak. It was very clean. Surprising, since it's basically sat for the past three years.
