What Song invokes 'The Spirit' of The XJS for you?

For me it is this:
Eurithmics, Sweet Dreams
It just wakes the 80ies in my head. Synthesizer and typical 80ies pop. Also the lyrics seem to match an 80ies XJ-S. The decade as Britain's economy boomed. As newly rich bought powerful, expensive cars and many opted for the XJ-S as their flashy new cars. They were used and abused... Just listen to the lyrics...

I definitely see the XJS as closer to the sedans in terms of being stately and aloof. Just low and fast and aloof.... I know it can be turned into a hot rod thing, but I don't see it as a sports car at all. I see it as perhaps a "gentleman's personal conveyance," if you like. A little roguish, sure. But still very elegant and civilised.

Some fun choices there.
I don't know The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but it's certainly a member of the League of Extraordinary Automobiles.
I think perhaps the best song would be "I've Got a Little List" from The Mikado. With suitably modified lyrics, of course:
As some day it may happen that a garage must be found,
I've got a little list — I've got a little list
Of vehicular offenders in this car that will confound,
And who never would be missed — who never would be missed!
There's the pestilential rusting that requires huge payoffs —
All engines that have funny sounds and irritating coughs —
All fancy parts way up in price that have to be acquired —
All electrical connections which need to be rewired —
And all those nooks and crannies that will injure your left wrist —
They'd none of 'em be missed — they'd none of 'em be missed!

Hi Someday
If only we could combine your Amazing XJS Road Trip Video with one of my Favourite Tracks, which could be done by playing the Track in a minimized window
While watching your Road Trip Video (without the sound track) in a full size window
FLASH sung by 'Perfume'
girl with ponytail: (a-chan) Ayaka Nishiwaki
girl with long hair and thicker fringe: (KASHIYUKA) Yuka Kashino
girl with short hair: (NOCCHi) Ayano Omoto

Well, I don't think the road trip video's that amazing, OB, I'm sure that wouldn't be that hard.
Looks like the song was used as the theme song for this film, Chihayafuru:
This is the game they are playing:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uta-garuta
You could always assemble your own version. Download the RT video and add the song. Or it might be easier to play the YouTube song at the same time as you play the video in another tab. Or you could try this video, which doesn't have any music, and is only driving (I just tested it--works very well):

Hi Someday
Your Road Trip Video and (Flash) by Perfume, go together like Peaches and Cream
Best to Play the Soundtrack in a Minimized Window, while watching Your Road Trip, Full Screen
Might need a bit of practice with that Card Game, although I've got my head around the way it works.
Thanks for putting up your Road Trip Video

Instead of worrying about minimizing windows, wouldn't it be simpler to just use separate tabs within Firefox or Chrome or whatever browser you use? Much easier I would think.
Anyway, glad you think they go together like fish fingers and custard. Or peaches and cream. One or the other....

When I was looking at a XJS to buy, I first started with the older V12 models and after hearing time and time again how this high class girl could suck all my money from me, these lyrics from the song " Rich Girl " kept coming to mind :
"You're a rich girl, and you've gone too far
'Cause you know it don't matter anyway
You can rely on the old man's money
You can rely on the old man's money "
So I decided to get a newer AJ16 4.0L version and these lyrics from " Little Sister " keep playing in my head every time I drive my '95 XJS :
" Every time I see your sister
Well she's got somebody new
She's mean and she's evil
Like that old Boll Weevil
Guess I'll try my luck with you
Little sister, don't you
Little sister, don't you
Little sister, don't you kiss me once or twice
Then say it's very nice
And then you run
Little sister, don't you
Do what your big sister done "
Not sure which is worse-driving the older sister and knowing what to expect or driving her little sister and hoping she will be easy on you-LOL!
