Default What are these for?

Whilst fishing around under the center console (to resync the remote entry fobs) I came across these connectors. One looks like an RJ54 DataCom connector and the other just looks unusual.

Anyone know what these were originally for and if they have any practical modern purpose?

Joke ongoing reply: it's a connector so you can get on the internet and update to the latest Jag software update. If you're not using at least Firmware 2.3.7, you're missing out on a lot of the new features!

Serious reply: Jags came with an in-car telephone option. The phone jack, at least, is for that.

Mine had some wires running to the back of the console and had been clipped off, someone told me they were for a telephone or 2 way type radio system....guess the last owner took his stuff with him.

yeah that is for a 80s era in car phone system. One of my panels has 2 holes on it where there used to be a hanger for a phone. My old BMW was the same way
