i have always liked the Jaguar XJ220, would have been nice to have it with V12, a guy had one here in Texas , but never liked the sound of the engine under the hood , a lot of mechanical sounds, rattling etc.

Besides a red convertible XKE, as is exactly pictured in an earlier post, here are the most beautiful Jaguars ever made (in no particular order):
*Series III Vanden Plas in white or black
*Facelift 4.0 XJS Convertible in red, black, or dark blue (with five spoke wheels, of course!)
*X308 XJR or Vanden Plas in black, dark blue, or white
*And a close second - XKR Convertible (up to 2006) in red, black, or dark blue
I'm not too opinionated, am I? :-)

Most elegant, stately and fluid design to leave Coventry IMO. Followed closely by the XK120 Coupe, and of course the parent of both, the SS Airline Coupe. SS cars in their entirety are also top of the list.
Jaguar hasn't ever designed an "ugly" car, I think the only car that was mis-proportioned was the Mark 10, but considering the awful Yank iron (design) it was up against, it's hard to fault it in period.
As for the XJS, it's an acquired taste IMO. You have to own one to "get it", if you're one of the folks that doesn't understand what planet it came from. I hated the looks of the XJS when I first saw one, but the car as a package works so well and defines an era. It will never be a 70's or a 90's car although, the XJS will always be a product of the 80's in my eyes, and actually got younger as it got older.
Cheers,
Jeff

I will have to agree that the prettiest, most gracious and probably the most JAAAAGUAAAAR! screaming of all Jags must be the unforgettable XJ6 cars, and I'll have to include all three models because, if not exactly the same, the shapes are very similar. However, I have to pick positions within the three and in this case I'm biased: I once owned a Series II, what can I say?
XJ6's rule!!!
#1 - Series II
#2 - Series I
#3 - Series III
Cheers,
