What's it worth?

What's it worth?
Hi all, new here. I have a '78 XJS Coupe 5.3. I've had it for several years now. I had plans on doing a restoration job, but circumstances have changed and I have come to the decision to sell.
I've had it on jack stands in the garage for about 7 years. I have started it from time to time (about once a month), but haven't had it on the road in the 7 years.
Engine seems to run fine, a/c was converted to r134, but the charge seems to be gone (no cold air).
Leaks -- after I run it, will leak a bit of oil, power steering, and transmission fluid.
The body and metal are all in good shape as I was living in New Mexico, so no rust I'm aware of.
Paint is ok, trunk lid has several blisters, but the rest of the car is fair. From looking around (trunk, other less visible areas), I can tell it started out yellow, was repainted a metalic red, and currently black.
Interior needs work. The dry weather in NM is good for metal, bad for interiors. Seats need to be redone. Dash has a crack in the middle. Side panels are in fair condition.
Rubber window seals and such have also hardened from the southwest sun. It didn't leak while I was driving it, can't say now.
I don't have any pics now, but I could include some later.
I did some work myself years ago. Air pump, injector wiring, idler valve, ignition computer (pardon the reference to "computer"), and other things I've since forgot.
I will most likely be moving to another state due to work later this year. After several weeks of pondering whether to keep it or sell, I have sadly come to the decision to sell.
So bottom line - What would be a fair asking price?

Value on these cars seems to vary from place to place and you don't mention mileage, but I'd venture to say here on the East coast of New England, I'd guess only $1500-1800. Even that might be high if the tires and all the rubber fuel lines, etc need replacing because of dry-rot.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

It's a parts car. Don't mean to offend but that's all your XJS is. I agree with JameyXJ6's lower number - $1200.00 or best offer. Advertise your car for $1200 and take the first offer made; otherwise you'll be hauling it to your new home...or calling the scrap dealer. I speak from experience.

I was faced with a similar situation once. I was driving an Alfa Milano, which was hit in the backend by a cable TeeVee truck. Crushed the car just about to the rear window. I took the insurance settlement, parted the car out and...I had the hulk of an Alfa Romeo Milano sitting on four jackstands in my driveway. I couldn't get it hauled away - no one wanted it. So...I bought a Milwaukee Sawzall and cut it up with my son. We sent it to the town dump in the weekly trash pickup. The Alfa was a great car.
