Mike, Here in the states we have several companies that insure classics, street rods and exotics that aren't regularly driven. One name that comes to mind is Grundy Insurance, they seem to be fairly popular in the classic and hot rod world. I don't know if there are similar companies in the UK. There are other companies out there, but, this is the only name that comes to mind at the moment.
Good luck and happy 80th!!

Hi Orangeblossom,
Thanks for that - I thought that would probably be the case. I think I will have to bite the bullet, and see what I can get back when I leave the UK again, in November. Might I ask who your insurance company is? Love your pictures, and I will find the right forum next time.
Regards Mike

Have a look at ecarinsurance.co.uk they do monthly insurance PAYG, I just got a quote of £43 Per Month, which sounds a bit expensive.
Not worth it for me, as I can get a years Insurance for just over £100 fully comp.
For people of er.... um...more mature years you could have a look at http://www.saga.co.uk
Hope this helps
