Window felt
Does anyone know where I can get replacement seals/felt for the windows in my '88? They are unavailable on SNG and Jaguar heritage. Other searches just keep turning up the door seal. Both of my windows get jammed because the seal is worn and moves with the window. Without replacing, I will kill my motors and need to replace those as well.
I do not understand. How is part BBC6292 unavailable? It is the major reason for XJS window woes. If your motor went bad, it is probably because of the extra work it was doing because these seals are bad.

Lack of demand is almost certainly why Jaguar no longer offers the part.
I bought one about 10 years ago so it's been discontinued since then.
Googling the parts gets some hits. Keep calling around. Maybe an aftermarket manufacturer has picked up production?
Cheers

I feel like this is overlooked on the XJS, but I have had my door panel off for a while and watched how it worked. On the beginning of up or down, the window will grab the felt channel and drag it a bit until the window ***** the wrong way, it puts a ton of stress on the motor.
