Window and Mirror Woes

Window and Mirror Woes
Hello All,
My 1990 XJS convertible has suddenly decided that the driver's mirror (RHD), driver's door window, and driver's quarter window should all stop functioning at the same time. I've looked at the 1990 MY electrical diagram, and it's not clear to me what single component would cause this. Does anyone have any guidance?
Best regards,
Dan

Dan,
I can't see anything that links those 3 circuits, even earth points.
I suspect you've got either 2 or even 3 coincidental problems.
There's the obvious linkage between the mirror and front window insofar that the wires pass through the A-post and thence into the door. I'd start my examination there.
As regards the rear window, I think that's a coincidental problem. Start by swapping the left and right relays and see if the problem changes sides. If not I would check the output voltage from the relay when the window is being operated (immediately on lowering the hood, 8 seconds delay when raising it). If you can see output voltage, then you've either got a wiring problem to the motor or a motor problem. Remove the trim panel and apply voltage direct to the motor connection and verify the motor integrity.
Good luck
Paul
