Wizard Cooling Radiator with Fans?

I need to address the cooling system in my car soon. I know I can get the radiator recored, but I've come across Wizard Cooling. Their products seem to be well reviewed here but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with their fan options? Basically, the radiator comes with a pair of Spal fans attached to it. They then offer wiring kits which include a sensor and some wiring harnesses.
Has anyone actually installed one of these? The radiator part is straight forward for me, the wiring less so. But I do like the idea of electric fans.

SPAL fans are the absolute best you can get. It sounds a great package. Wiring will be straightforward and many on here can help you, or give clear directions to your auto electrician.
New thermostats as well mind! Someday Someday bought a Wizard, I seem to recall, and it was excellent.
You also get rid of a belt and some hardware, and get far better access to the front of the engine. Great mod. If the wiring kit that come with it does not contain one, a manual over-ride cabin switch is a must; very easy to do. Then if all else in the way of automatic switching fails, you can turn them on.

An override switch isn’t included, but it is on the wiring diagram.
They offer three thicknesses of fans, the bigger ones obviously move more air. Including the radiator the options are 5”, 5.5”, and 6.5”. Does anyone know what the distance from the front of the radiator to the engine is? My car is still in storage for winter...
I’m not sure how much cooling is needed, having three options almost makes it harder, a paralysis of choice.
I’ve got most of the other cooling system parts already, need a water pump and some gaskets.

Assuming the radiator is the same depth as the OEM one, the maximum depth available from the REAR of the radiator is 4.5 inches. The closest point to the engine is the LHS fan hub, and this 4.5 inch dimension gives enough clearance. So once you know the depth of the Wizard rad, add on the 4.5 inches to make a comparison with their measurements. Get the biggest fans you can get in! I have a 12 inch and a 16.5 inch SPAL and they are terrific,

Their radiator is 3" deep. So a 3" radiator plus 4.5" gives a maximum depth of 7.5". So all three will fit. It looks like two 14" fans. Is the OEM radiator 3" thick? Their pictures look like the one in my car, but cleaner. The connections are all the same.

And then I'll have to DIY the fan setup, which I don't want to do. I asked my trusted mechanic if there was anyone in the area that did radiator recores. He knew one shop and didn't recommend them. I'm not going to ship the radiator out to get redone, so I'm looking at replacing it with a new one. Good thought on the alternator though, I'll get a stronger one.

Very good decision, I DIY'd mine and it was a total pain and took several years to get right, which at last I have after endless trial and error and experimentation. A new rad with integrated electric fans is a great time saver and will give a better cooling result.
